Sunday, Sunday...

It is weather like today that makes living here in Florida, for a girl that hates heat, worth the while. It's not freezing, but it's cool, sunny, just the right amount of clouds in the sky and there is a light breeze. Perfect!

I was able to take a picture of work we did yesterday. In the daylight I gotta say it doesn't look like it was a lot, but it does make a big difference. So happy we did that. I'm going to try and post a pic... here we go... wish me luck! This is my first time! LOL

These are the type of bushes we took out. The ones pictured here are still up on the other side of the path.

This is why I don't like them... they are never bushy.
Here is a sorta "before"... well more like "working on it". lol
This is when my phone cam decided to crap out.

And this was this morning... all finished (for now). The space where it is just red lava rock will have some more of the ferns and heathers. Right now we are thinking maybe by late Feb/early March we can do this.

Here is the trellis with the climber we started a few months ago. It's coming up nicely.

This is a closer look at the Foxtail Ferns and Mexican Heathers we added in front of the trellis to see how they would look. The Mexican Heather (the small one with purplish flowers) is a ground cover so hopefully they will cover some of the area.

For now we moved this planter here but we are thnking maybe a Hibiscus or something with a flower. Not sure yet. I'm sure glad though that the "Welcome" sign can finally be seen. It used to be hidden behind some thorny fugly bushes. Gosh those were ugly! lol  But now it looks clean and purdy! :-)

And now... I'm off to search my garage for the needle and yarns. Oh boy! :-)
